  1. Stay the night in Chillingham CastleWrite your Suggestion:
    1. I think I watched a ghost hunters on that my last night in London. I could’t sleep and got up at 5am to catch the bus back to Bloomsbury to make it to Heathrow on time. Then I didn’t sleep for 2 days due to jetlag. Probably not the best choice. Have fun with that. Not on my list.

    1. my cousin did this a decade ago — at a certain point overnight, the train stops, they lift the entire thing up in the air and swap the wheels so it can continue on a different grade of track. awesome. (bring a gun?)

      Noam Birnbaum, April 3, 2007

    2. That IS awesome! I’d second a gun idea, though I’m not sure how well that would go over in customs.

      Brady J. Frey, April 9, 2007

    3. Dont forget to load the gun. Russians are maniacs.

      Santi H., November 5, 2007

    1. Inside. I’ve seen the outside.

      Brady J. Frey, April 1, 2007

    2. I used to work as a senatorial intern. It’s pretty rad. Though the tours aren’t what they used to be. There’s a tiny Charley and the Chocolate Factory-esque train that runs between the office buildings and the actual senate and house **underground**. It’s crazy. If you do plan to go call your Senator and arrange a tour. A little known fact-they do that.
